Thank you for your interest in Saint Annie's Learning Center, a fast growing company that is taking the Yokohama area Kindergartens by storm. OUR IN-HOUSE ESL PROGRAMS
Our ESL Preschool and Kinder-Kids lessons are filled with songs, games and educational activities which provides each student with the opportunity to learn and participate. The lessons are also supported by our multi-level curriculum, based on the early childhood learning goals outlined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), which includes monthly targets for conversation, vocabulary, phonics, structured worksheets, and homework assignments. Each class is limited to just 8 students. With this, teachers are able to spend more time with individual students as well as the group and are able to communicate often with parents to extend the bridge between home and school.
IN-HOUSE ESL CLASS DETAILS
In the mornings, children between the ages of 1 and 4 come for a 3 hour ESL Preschool Lesson. These lessons are guided by the teacher who leads the class in all developmental areas, providing children with activities that specifically focus on developing cognitive, physical, social, language, and self-help skills.
In the afternoons, kindergarten and elementary students come for a 50 minute lesson. These lessons are guided by the teacher who leads the class in singing, games, vocabulary, phonic drills, and structured worksheets which concentrates on reading and handwriting through a carefully stepped, individualized approach. You must be well prepared physically and mentally and be full of energy to have a successful lesson.
OUR EXPECTATIONS FOR ESL TEACHERS
We expects our teachers to be well-balanced, competent, motivated, resourceful, and sensitive to students needs, and at the same time, be able to motivate children to learn, to retain the respect of the students and parents, and to maintain a proper learning environment by having good classroom management skills.
